Why would a son who was raised with unconditional love and respect turn out to be a liar and pot user?

It is ripping my heart apart. Never an argument in the home. Always heard me pray and speak of God. Love every where he turned and pampered. What did we do wrong? How can this happen and what can I do? My baby is only 14 years old.
