A question about El Nio?

That sounds correct, to me. Since El Nio starts in the eastern Pacific, the unusually warm water in the area evaporates warming the air and causing it to rise this accounts for more storms in that part of the world. Notice how the West coast of South America suffers from heavy flooding. Naturally do to the pressure difference that wouldn't be their during normal years, the sea breeze that would cause make it's way to the Aussie coast line, travels in the other direction towards the low.
