Wiccans: what do you make of a scorpion in one's closet?

If scorpions are common in your area it's not much of a mystery that one turned up in your closet. If it was a poisonous one, I would probably have killed it, too. Like you, I don't kill insects as a rule. I don't think seeing certain creatures has any significance unless it is an unusual cirstance. For example, on my birthday last year there was a redtailed hawk circling and screaming over our back yard.... and we live near downtown Boise. You don't see hawks in town here at all, so that was a little freaky for me.
