Carbohydrates detection tests?

for the detection of carbohydrates we perform different tests. including the osazone test. the question is that glucose, mannose, galactose gives same shape of crystals i.e needle shaped. so if they all have same shape of crystals than how would i know that the sugar is either glucose or mannose or galactose by examining their crystals please answer soon..
